Miniota & Area Foundation

- Provides a unique opportunity for each of us to invest in the future of our community.
- Invests the funds you donate, retains the principal and allocates the annual interest or investment income to worthy charitable community projects.
- In a non-profit charitable organization.  Official tax receipts are issued for taxation purposes.
- Governed by a Board of Directors consisting of between 5 and 7 people.  This diverse group, representing our area, will serve without remuneration.

Your Gift, and the Benefits of Giving

- Your Gift provides a permanent source of funds to meet community and regional needs now and in the future.
- Your Gift will be pooled with other gifts ensuring maximum potential earnings.
- Donors may stipulate their gift of $5,000 or more be designated for a specific purpose.

(All gifts to the Foundation will be receipted as gifts to a registered charity for income tax purposes.)

Donations

Donations can be made in various ways.....

- Gift or pledge of money
- Property
- Wills and Bequests - Individuals may provide gifts to the Foundation in their wills.  Donors should consult their lawyers when making bequests.
- Life Insurance - A contribution may be made through a gift of life insurance naming the Miniota & Area Foundation as beneficiary. (The premiums are tax deductible.)
- Tribute or Memorial - A gift may be made in honour of a living person, organization, field of interest, event or in memory of a relative or a friend.
- Multi-Year Pledge - You may make an initial contribution and commit to add to the initial donation over a period of years.
